Azure Cloud Engineer III/IV

You are an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with a specialization in migrating and modernizing applications to the cloud. Your deep expertise lies in Azure Cloud, Terraform (Enterprise), containers (Docker), Kubernetes (AKS), CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and Python scripting. Your strong soft skills enable you to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders during migration and modernization projects. You will lead and execute the migration and modernization of applications to Azure Cloud using containerization and re-platforming techniques. Your responsibilities also include re-platforming, optimizing, and managing containerized applications using Docker and orchestrating them through Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Implementing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to facilitate seamless application migration and deployment is a crucial part of your role. You will automate infrastructure and application deployments to ensure consistent, reliable, and scalable cloud environments. Writing Python scripts to support migration automation, integration tasks, and tooling is also part of your daily tasks. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful application migration, modernization, and adoption of cloud solutions is key to your success. Defining and implementing best practices for DevOps, security, migration strategies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) are essential components of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for infrastructure deployment via Terraform (IAM, networking, security, etc). In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will configure and manage comprehensive logging, monitoring, and observability solutions. Developing, testing, and maintaining Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and backup solutions to ensure cloud resilience are also part of your non-functional responsibilities. You will ensure adherence to all applicable non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security during migrations. Your required skills and experience include expert-level proficiency in migrating and modernizing applications to Microsoft Azure Cloud services. You should have strong expertise in Terraform (Enterprise) for infrastructure automation, proven experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (AKS), extensive hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, and building CI/CD pipelines specifically for cloud migration and modernization efforts. Proficient scripting skills in Python for automation and tooling are essential. A comprehensive understanding of DevOps methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) is also required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills are a must. Demonstrable experience in implementing logging, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery solutions within cloud environments is highly valued.,
