Automation Tester

Job Description: As an Automation Tester with 5 to 7 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to create, maintain, and improve automated scripts, frameworks, and tools for efficient software testing and delivery at Sony India Software Centre. Your responsibilities will include leveraging automation technologies, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities, and showing a commitment to implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and maintain high quality standards. Your educational background should include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. In addition, you should have a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing and automation testing utilizing Selenium and Java Script. Proficiency in programming languages like Java and JavaScript is essential for this role. You will be required to have experience in API Test automation using Postman, a solid understanding of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD)), and familiarity with best practices. Your expertise should extend to AEM testing, mobile web automation using Appium, Functional, System, regression, Smoke testing, and tools like Jira and Qtest. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, quality assurance processes, and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Github will be beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for troubleshooting and debugging complex automation issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are key qualities for success in this role.
