Job Description

The role involves building strong interactions with the public and students interested in astronomy, effectively communicating the significance of space science and astronomy to the public. As an Astronomy Educator at SPACE India, you will be responsible for conducting astronomy observations, providing training on telescopes and other equipment during evening and night observations at SPACE sites. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards of program conduction, planning client programs, sessions, activities, and events in a timely manner, and adhering to the set agenda. Organizing outreach events under the banner of SPACE India, representing the company across various media platforms through interviews, talk shows, and writing papers and articles in magazines and newspapers as per the company's media policy are also key responsibilities. Furthermore, you will contribute to the promotion and propagation of astronomy and space science education by organizing and participating in events like fairs, quiz competitions, observations, and public watches. As an Astronomy Educator, you will be expected to implement various teaching techniques that focus on student-centered activities and incorporate different learning styles and active language practice. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Science or Engineering graduate education background, with either fresher or 2 years of teaching experience. Excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office tools, research and development skills, and public relations skills are essential requirements for this position. In terms of attitude, the candidate should be adaptive to challenging environments, curious, open to learning, and flexible with travel and work timings. The role offers paid astronomy and equipment training for 2 months, along with traveling perks. SPACE Technology and Education Pvt.
