Job Description

As a Derivative Services - OTC professional with 4 to 6 years of experience based in Chennai, your primary responsibility will be to handle assigned tasks efficiently and ensure their timely completion. You will need to assist junior team members by addressing their queries and act as a go-to expert whenever necessary. It is essential to manage daily tasks effectively, recognizing the right time to seek support and escalating issues promptly when needed. Your role will involve resolving issues related to stock or cash differences, ensuring that any unresolved or high-risk problems are escalated without delay. Additionally, you will be expected to take ownership of additional tasks or projects, completing them within the designated timelines. Clear and prompt responses to client and team queries are crucial, while adhering to all rules and procedures with honesty and care to minimize risks. Collaboration will be key in your daily activities as you share and support ideas to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Building and maintaining strong relationships with other teams and external partners will be essential, along with keeping procedures current and escalating any issues to senior staff as required. Your continuous learning mindset will be valued, as you seek to deepen your understanding of transaction processes and proactively identify opportunities to enhance daily operations. Effective planning, making confident decisions, meeting deadlines consistently, and managing time efficiently are skills that you will need to demonstrate. Taking ownership of your work, suggesting improvements, understanding risks, and possessing end-to-end knowledge of asset management will be imperative. Acting as a mentor and guide to junior team members, solving problems effectively with risk awareness, staying organized, knowing when to delegate, and being open to feedback for continuous improvement are qualities that will define your success in this role. Clear communication, strong relationship-building skills, adaptability to changes, and a commitment to supporting innovation will be expected from you. Reporting issues promptly and clearly on the same day they occur is a crucial aspect of your duties. In terms of knowledge and experience, the must-have requirements include experience using the Aladdin platform and tools like CTM, CLS, and SWIFT, a solid understanding of global markets, knowledge of derivatives and collateral management, and experience in trade operations across various asset types. Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards, corporate actions, income processing, and awareness of operational risks in transaction and asset lifecycle are essential. Nice-to-have experiences include working with OTC derivatives and related products, possessing a strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Overall, your skills in transaction management, trade finance operations, and derivatives will play a critical role in your success in this role.,
