Job Description

As an Associate Director, Finance focused on Technical Accounting and US GAAP at our company, you will have the crucial role of overseeing the accounting functions in alignment with US GAAP standards. Your responsibilities will include managing complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements, and providing strategic guidance on accounting matters to senior leadership. Your contribution will be instrumental in enhancing and upholding the company's financial reporting accuracy, timely submissions to stakeholders, and driving enhancements in accounting processes and systems. Your primary skills should encompass budgeting, funding & finance management, technology finance including Opex/Capex treatments, technology accounting, and account level financials and operations, all while adhering to US GAAP standards. Reporting directly to the India Controller, your key responsibilities will involve managing the accounting and finance operations of global entities. This will entail preparing and finalizing financial statements, including notes to accounts for multiple subsidiaries and multicurrency consolidation in accordance with US GAAP and public accounting standards. You will lead the month-end closure activities, oversee the technical accounting function, support integrated audits, manage external audit processes, and drive improvements in financial systems and reporting processes within the organization. To excel in this role, you should hold a CA or CPA equivalent qualification with 6-8 years of experience, preferably in the software or hi-tech industry. Experience in a public company or a big 4 audit firm, NetSuite experience, and familiarity with accounting policies, internal controls, and US GAAP are highly desirable. Your attention to detail, judgment, time management skills, integrity, strong communication abilities, organizational skills, and analytical mindset will be key assets in this position. Furthermore, you are expected to embody critical leadership qualities such as customer advocacy, an owner's mindset, innovation ethos, execution with pace, big picture thinking, and winning through teams.
