Description
The Marketing Communications (Marcom) team at Apple is responsible for overseeing consumer-facing marketing initiatives globally. Their primary focus is ensuring the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across various media channels and platforms. With hundreds of millions of Apple customers interacting with products daily, Marcom drives the strategy and creative work to deliver simple, engaging, and inspiring marketing experiences. In India, Marcom's scope includes localization, advertising, partner retail experience and communications, interactive/digital, video & motion graphics, and direct marketing. As an organization focused on creativity, Marcom plans, localizes, conceptualizes, and implements Apple's product and services communications. As the Associate Creative Director (ACD), Design, you will work closely with the local Creative Director to lead the development of innovative and compelling creative solutions that align with Apple's creative briefs. This role, based in Mumbai, India, involves collaborating with the larger Marcom Creative Team in London. You will be responsible for guiding art directors and designers, both in-house and freelancers, to create and direct work that resonates with both current and potential customers of one of the world's most beloved brands. The ACD plays a crucial role in developing engaging communications across various platforms, such as retail and channel in-store print materials, interactive experiences, and on-device content. Responsibilities include leading the creation and production of assets, collaborating with cross-functional partners, delivering persuasive creative presentations, providing guidance to teammates, and effectively communicating within the creative organization. Minimum qualifications for this role include a design portfolio showcasing a strong grasp of design principles, branding, typography, and visual communication, along with 12 years of industry experience in design firms, digital agencies, advertising, or in-house marketing communications departments. Proficiency in design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, is required. Preferred qualifications include expert ability in developing innovative creative work across different media, proficiency in graphic design, branding, photography, and art direction, strong conceptual skills, and a passion for design with an awareness of industry trends. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and presentation skills, in-depth knowledge of the creative development process, and the ability to lead projects effectively. A degree from an art/design college, majoring in Graphic Design/Applied Art, is preferred.
