Job Description

Core Responsibilities: Surgical Procedures: Performing a wide range of surgical procedures, including reconstructive surgeries to repair or replace body parts affected by trauma, illness, or birth defects, as well as cosmetic procedures for aesthetic enhancements. Patient Assessment and Planning: Thoroughly evaluating patients, conducting medical history and physical examinations, and developing personalized treatment plans that address individual needs and goals. Pre- and Post-operative Care: Providing patients with clear explanations of procedures, risks, and benefits, and offering comprehensive post-operative care instructions. Collaboration and Communication: Working effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and other specialists, to ensure integrated and coordinated care. Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining meticulous records of patient consultations, procedures, and outcomes, adhering to medical guidelines and regulations. Continuing Education: Staying informed about advancements in plastic surgery techniques, technologies, and best practices. Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about the procedures, risks, and potential outcomes, and ensuring informed decision-making. Specific Procedures and Specializations: Reconstructive Surgery: Repairing or reconstructing body parts damaged by trauma, illness, or birth defects (e.g., burn repair, hand surgery, breast reconstruction). Cosmetic Surgery: Enhancing physical appearance for aesthetic reasons (e.g., rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, liposuction, facelift). Specializations: May focus on specific areas, such as breast surgery, hand surgery, craniofacial surgery, or microvascular surgery.
