Assistant Manager, Supplier Quality

Roles And Responsibilities :

1 Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant QMS standards.

2 Apply root cause analysis techniques to resolve quality problems effectively.

3 Liaise with suppliers and internal teams using strong communication and interpersonal skills.

4 Conduct on-site supplier audits and evaluations.

5 Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to align supplier quality with company goals.

6 Provide technical support during product development and production for supplier quality integration.

7 Analyze supplier performance metrics such as defect rates, delivery reliability, etc.

8 Present quality performance data internally and to suppliers to enable improvements.

9 Conduct routine audits of supplier facilities to ensure adherence to QMS standards.

10 Monitor ongoing supplier compliance with regulatory and internal quality expectations.

Competence Required (Technical & Behavioral)

1 Core Quality Tools Intermediate in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.

2 Problem Solving Working knowledge of 8D, Why-Why Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.

3 GD&T Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to interpret technical drawings.

4 QMS Standards Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

5 Supplier Audit Skills Ability to audit supplier processes against internal and external standards.
