Position Title:

Educational Qualification:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Production or Industrial Engineering
• OR B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Footwear Technology from FDDI, CFTI, GLI, or equivalent institutes
• MBA in Operations will be considered an added advantage

Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned production professional with a strong background in sports footwear manufacturing to lead and manage the production function at our Bahadurgarh facility. The ideal candidate should bring deep industry expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in managing large-scale operations and manpower. The role demands a strategic thinker who can drive operational excellence, ensure cost optimization, and uphold world-class quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:

• Lead and oversee end-to-end production operations for sports footwear manufacturing.
• Translate business goals into actionable production plans aligned with Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Ensure adherence to Monthly and Daily Production Plans (MAPE compliance).
• Drive initiatives for continuous process improvement, waste reduction, and enhanced productivity.

2. Cost and Budget Management:

• Monitor and control conversion costs and overall production expenses.
• Contribute to plant budgeting, EBITDA targets, and financial planning.
• Optimize inventory levels and reduce WIP to improve cash flow and working capital.

3. Quality, Compliance & Systems:

• Ensure strict compliance with quality systems such as ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and Total Quality Management (TQM) principles.
• Lead efforts in quality improvement, claim reduction, and customer satisfaction.
• Promote best practices in workplace safety, hygiene, and environmental sustainability.

4. People & Workforce Management:

• Effectively manage a large and diverse workforce, including contractual staff.
• Conduct training programs on 5S, Kaizen, safety, and lean manufacturing tools for the shopfloor team.
• Define KPIs for team members, monitor performance, and foster a high-performance culture.

5. Reporting & Communication:

• Submit production reports (daily/weekly/monthly) to the Plant Head and senior leadership.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams including Planning, Quality, Engineering, and HR for seamless plant operations.
• Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure uninterrupted material flow and service quality.

• In-depth knowledge of footwear production processes and planning
• Strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization
• Familiarity with quality and safety compliance frameworks
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and sourcing efficiency
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Visual Management
