Job Description

You will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a Contract employee. Your role will require sound knowledge of AS400 with programming skills in RPG Free format, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL, and COBOL/400. Basic knowledge in Java & Unix is preferable. Your responsibilities will include creating technical design documents, logical flow, and pseudo codes. You will review RPGLE, SQRPGLE, COBOL/400, COBOL programs for defined scope, and have experience in solving problem tickets and incidents. Additionally, you will review unit test scripts and test scenarios, with prior experience in the banking domain being preferable. Your key responsibilities will involve analyzing incidents and problem tickets in banking applications to identify root causes, proposing technical fixes, AS/400 development of fixes, providing SIT/UAT test support, contributing to designing and solutioning, Control-M/job scheduling planning, Jira resolutions, and conducting reviews and client walkthroughs. Essential skills for this role include COBOL, COBOL/400, RPG Free format, RPGLE, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE. Nice to have skills are Java & Unix. You should have at least 5 years of experience in AS400 development along with COBOL and RPG. Your success in this role will be supported by your excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.,
