Description
As an Automotive Over-the-Air (OTA) Software Update Professional, you will be responsible for researching technologies required for developing Automotive OTA software update systems, studying customer needs, benefits to OEMs, and creating a business case for OTA. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Product Planning, Quality Assurance, and other Design/Development teams. Your role will involve designing the architecture of Over-The-Air Software Update Systems to accommodate different vehicle E/E architecture variants across the vehicle lineup. You will need to understand and explain the advantages, disadvantages, limitations, and risks associated with various OTA architecture options. Additionally, you will be creating requirements and specifications for an End-to-End OTA system to be implemented across various in-vehicle systems/controllers and over cloud infrastructure. Documenting architectural concepts, feature/function flow diagrams, and design implementations will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will support the deployment of requirements and specifications with internal and external stakeholders, including Tier-1 suppliers. Resolving conflicts between stakeholders through explanation of system requirements and necessary deliberations will be crucial. You will ensure the performance quality of the overall system through validation at Unit, Integration, System, and vehicle levels. Establishing testing/validation infrastructure and procedures, analyzing root causes of reported issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines will also be key aspects of your role. Your technical competencies should include knowledge of Over-the-Air Software update technologies, automotive E/E Architecture, Connected Vehicle architecture, Telematics feature/functions, computer networking, OSI model, OTA server components, in-car function components of OTA, security and regulation requirements, and more. Understanding controllers function in a vehicle environment, knowledge of Micro-controller, Micro-processor, SoC devices, multi-core platforms, Hypervisor, embedded software architecture and development, automotive OS, software structure for embedded systems, cybersecurity, software development lifecycle, verification & validation, diagnostics & communication protocols, tools, standards, and languages like Japanese will be advantageous. Educational Requirement: - Essential: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication - Desirable: Masters/Other advanced degree/certifications in Automotive/Embedded Electronics, IoT, Cloud, or Cybersecurity If you possess the required technical competencies and educational background, and are interested in playing a key role in designing and implementing Automotive OTA software update systems, this position could be a great fit for you.,
