Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer with deep expertise in press tool design (Sheet Metal Dies progressive,transfer, tandem) for automotive or engineering industries. The ideal candidate should possess strong design knowledge, hands-on with CAD software, and could lead and guide junior designers and cross-functional teams in tool development. Key Responsibilities: Prepare 2D & 3D tool designs using CAD software like CATIA, UG-NX, or AutoCAD. Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and feasibility studies based on customer part drawings and specifications. Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), strip layouts, and die constructions Coordinate with tool room, production, and quality teams for design validation and corrections. Guide and review the work of junior designers and draftsmen. Participate in customer reviews, approvals, and technical discussions. Skills & Qualifications: : Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Tool & Die Making Minimum 3-5 years of experience in press tool design. Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming processes and tool manufacturing practices. Proficiency in design tools: CATIA, NX, AutoCAD. Job Objective: To lead and manage all quality functions across the plant with a focus on ensuring that products meet customer and industry standards, improve internal quality systems, and drive continuous improvement in all processes related to sheet metal manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership & Strategy o Develop and implement quality strategies aligned with customer requirement. o Lead a team of QC engineers and inspectors. o Act as the point of contact for all customer quality concerns and audits. 2. Quality Systems o Maintain and continuously improve IATF systems. o Lead internal audits, external audits, and management reviews. 3. Inspection & Testing o Oversee dimensional and visual inspection of incoming, in-process, and final parts. o Ensure calibration of instruments and effective inspection setup (CMM, gauges, etc.). o Establish control plans and quality checkpoints in manufacturing. 4. Customer Quality o Handle customer complaints , 5Why and corrective action plans. o Ensure timely closure of customer and internal non-conformances (NCRs). 5. Job Purpose: To assist the Quality department in day-to-day quality inspections, documentation, and process control activities, ensuring that press tools and sheet metal components meet required standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities : Assist in in-process and final inspection of sheet metal components and tools. Support in tool dimensional validation using instruments like Vernier, micrometre, height gauge, dial gauge, profile projector, etc. Record inspection data and help in preparing inspection reports and documentation. Maintain calibration records and assist in ensuring calibration of measuring instruments. Help with data entry for quality records and traceability logs. Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities in the Quality Department. Key Skills Required: Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and GD&T Good communication and observation skills Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) Reports To: Quality Manager / Senior Quality Engineer
