Description
As a Level 3 Services Engineer specialized in Ab Initio technologies, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with a self-organized engineering team to develop essential software features catering to credit card consumers. You will work closely with Product Management and leadership to ensure that development aligns with the set goals. Your focus will be on significant components, feature sets, or mid-sized applications/services, driving engineering best practices like Operational Excellence, Security, and Quality across teams. Additionally, you are expected to bring innovation to the team and contribute to technical advancements. To excel in this role, you should possess leadership experience in delivering throughout the development lifecycle and have a strong expertise in the latest Ab Initio technologies. Your ability to address queries from the team regarding requirements from architects and product managers, devise solutions quickly, and identify requirement gaps will be crucial. Hands-on experience with GDE and Unix scripting languages is necessary, along with effective communication and collaboration skills to enhance inner-sourcing and reduce inefficiencies. You should advocate for quality by leveraging approaches like Pair Programming to enhance team performance, identify potential effort savings, and continuously optimize delivery throughput. Experience in code review, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices, estimating delivery timescales, and familiarity with Jenkins pipeline principles and Agile practices are key requirements. Preferred experience includes understanding AWS interactions and file storage, knowledge of Lambda programming, and experience in solving real-world problems in a complex, regulated environment. Your technical skills should encompass proficiency in Ab Initio, GDE, Unix Scripting, Jenkins, Agile methodologies, AWS, and Lambda Programming.
