Java Backend Developer

Job Title: Java Backend Developer Experience: 2 to 8 Years Job Location: Malaysia Relocation: Candidates must be willing to relocate to Malaysia Job Overview: We are hiring an experienced and results-driven Java Backend Developer with 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in building scalable backend systems using Java, Spring, and Microservices architecture . The role requires strong backend engineering skills, database knowledge, and experience working in Agile teams. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Malaysia for an exciting opportunity with one of our leading global clients. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices . Build RESTful APIs and ensure secure, efficient integration with frontend components. Optimize backend processes for scalability, reliability, and performance. Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning). Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and bugs in a timely manner. Required Skills: Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above) with solid understanding of OOP concepts . Extensive experience with Spring Framework especially Spring Boot . Experience in RESTful API development and microservices architecture . Knowledge of SQL and relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Understanding of unit testing , integration testing , and CI/CD pipelines . Good communication and problem-solving skills. Good to Have: Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). Exposure to message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. Previous experience working with international clients or on-site teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 2 to 8 years of professional experience in backend development using Java and Spring ecosystem.
