3D Animator

3D Animator with strong rigging skills

You will collaborate closely with modelers, technical artists, and gameplay programmers to ensure animations not only look great but also integrate seamlessly into Unity URP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement

  character rigs

  (biped, quadruped, and mechanical) that are animator-friendly and performance-optimized.
• Create

  high-quality animations

  for characters, creatures, props, and interactive world elements.
• Ensure animations reflect

  weight, timing, emotion, and storytelling

  appropriate to gameplay.
• Collaborate with modelers to ensure rigs support topology and deformation needs.
• Partner with programmers to integrate animations into

  Unity

  pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and refine rigs and animation systems during production.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in

  3D animation and rigging

  for games or film.
• Strong proficiency in

  Maya/Blender

  for animation and rigging workflows.
• Solid understanding of

  FK/IK systems, skinning, constraints, blendshapes, and deformation techniques

  .
• Demonstrated experience in

  character performance animation

  (acting, gestures, facial animation).
• Experience with

  game engines (Unity preferred)

  and animation state machines.
• Strong grasp of animation fundamentals:

  timing, spacing, squash & stretch, anticipation, follow-through

  .
• Ability to balance

  realism with gameplay responsiveness

  .

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with

  Motion Capture cleanup & retargeting

  .
• Knowledge of

  procedural animation systems

  or scripting (Python, C#).
• Familiarity with

  physics-based animation or ragdoll systems

  .
