Role Description : This is a full-time hybrid role for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer based in Mangaluru , with some work from home acceptable. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing automated test cases, performing manual testing, and ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications. The engineer will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues, create test plans, and document test results. Key Responsibilities: Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents to identify test requirements and provide actionable feedback Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, support) to ensure quality across the product lifecycle Write detailed, structured, and maintainable test plans and test cases Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools like JIRA Perform thorough regression testing when issues are resolved Contribute to improving automation coverage and efficiency Investigate customer issues and help identify root causes Track and report on QA metrics and testing progress Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on automation Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium Experience testing web and mobile applications Proficiency in writing test plans, scenarios, and cases Familiarity with white-box and black-box testing Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies Strong communication and collaboration skills
