We are looking for a skilled 2D Furniture Designer with strong expertise in cutlist preparation and modular joinery detailing to join our production and design coordination team at VC Interiors. The ideal candidate should be experienced in creating precise technical drawings, understanding material optimization, and translating 3D concepts into factory-ready production drawings. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate 2D furniture drawings and cutlists for modular units. Develop detailed joinery drawings including assembly methods, hardware placement, and edge finishes. Coordinate with the design and factory teams to ensure design feasibility and production clarity. Optimize panel layouts and material usage using cutlist standards. Generate BOQs and hardware lists based on drawings. Ensure drawings meet accuracy, quality, and time standards. Make necessary revisions based on production feedback. Maintain organized documentation of drawings and revisions. Requirements: Proven experience as a 2D Designer or Joinery Draftsman in a modular furniture or interior design firm. Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software. Strong knowledge of modular furniture systems , cutlist preparation, and woodworking joinery. Understanding of materials like MDF, plywood, laminates, hardware, and edge-banding. Ability to work with factory teams to resolve design-to-production issues. Attention to detail and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil/Mechanical Drafting. Familiarity with production software like Cutlist Plus or Polyboard. Knowledge of 3D tools like SketchUp (basic level) is an added advantage.
