User Experience Designer, Illustrator

Adobe Design, the global experience design group with over 750 members, is seeking a Senior Experience Designer to join the Illustrator team as part of the growing Creative Cloud business. The role involves collaborating with various departments to deeply understand customer needs and deliver industry-standard tools for print and digital media. The ideal candidate will have a holistic approach to design, using modern tools to evaluate concepts quickly and possessing an inquisitive personality with a vision to evolve, craft, and build for the future. As a Senior Experience Designer at Adobe, you will be responsible for designing holistic experiences across multiple products and platforms, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners. Your role will involve creating "simple, elegant & intuitive" experiences that bring delight and significant improvement to users" workflows. You will communicate design ideas at different stages of the design process using wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes. Additionally, you will partner closely with the user research team to engage directly with customers, gain a deeper understanding of their goals, validate design solutions, conduct usability testing, and incorporate results into the design process. To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 5+ years of industry experience in product design, with a focus on graphic design, HCI, or related fields. You must have a proven track record of success in solving complex design and technology problems using systems thinking. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Xd, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or similar programs is essential. Excellent communication skills, a passion for understanding the creative process, and experience working with research data are also key requirements. Furthermore, you should have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, along with knowledge and passion for accessible and inclusive design.
