About Oota Hyderabad Oota Hyderabad is a fine-dining experience dedicated to honouring the culinary traditions of Hyderabadi and the two Telugu states . Our kitchen will focus on authenticity by celebrating heirloom recipes, forgotten techniques, and local ingredients. Role Description We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our opening team at Oota Hyderabad. In this full-time, on-site role, you will work closely with the Head Chef to execute our regional culinary vision. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in overall kitchen operations Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control Contribute to menu planning and recipe standardisation Supervise and train kitchen staff Manage inventory, procurement, and kitchen cost controls Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols Collaborate with the service team for a seamless guest experience Qualifications: Strong culinary expertise in food preparation, kitchen systems, and plating Prior experience in managing kitchen staff and kitchen operations Familiarity with Telangana, Andhra and Hyderabadi cuisine is highly preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Excellent team leadership, communication, and time management skills Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, high-volume environment Experience in premium casual or fine-dining restaurants Culinary degree or relevant professional certification
