Store Keeper

Inventory Management:

• Receiving and Inspection: Checking deliveries for accuracy and quality, ensuring proper storage of items, and reporting discrepancies or damages.

Operational Support:

• Coordination: Communicating with chefs, managers, and other staff to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
• Waste Reduction: Implementing strategies to minimize waste and spoilage of food and other supplies.
• Reporting: Preparing inventory reports for management, highlighting stock levels, usage, and potential issues.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies related to inventory management.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine checks and maintenance of equipment used in the storage area.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Organization and Attention to Detail: Essential for maintaining accurate records and managing inventory effectively.
• Communication Skills: Needed for interacting with various departments and suppliers.
• Physical Stamina: Required for tasks like lifting and moving stock.
• Basic Computer Skills: Needed for using inventory management software and preparing reports.
• Stock Levels: Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, monitoring inventory usage, and identifying items that need to be reordered.
• Storage and Organization: Organizing storage areas, ensuring proper rotation of stock (e.g., using the FIFO method), and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Ordering and Procurement: Placing orders with suppliers, tracking shipments, and coordinating with the purchasing department.
• Inventory Audits: Conducting regular physical inventory checks to verify stock levels and reconcile with records.
