Role & responsibilities 1. Teaching and Curriculum : Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for students in Class 4 to 6. Teach basic scientific skills and hands on experiential lessons. Adapt teaching methods based on student needs and learning styles. Create lesson plans that incorporate the full duration of each class. Encourage active participation and a lively classroom atmosphere. 2. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other assessments. Provide constructive feedback to students. Keep records of attendance, grades, and performance. 3. Individualized Support: Identify students with special requirements and create personalized learning plans. Address individual learning challenges and provide additional support. 4. Parent Communication: Regularly communicate with parents regarding student progress. Collaborate with parents to enhance student learning at home. 5. Classroom Management: Maintain discipline and ensure a positive learning environment. Handle classroom crises and resolve conflicts. 6. Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff members. Participate in school events, workshops, and training sessions. Preferred candidate profile : Bachelors degree in science or any other equivalent discipline plus Bachelor of Education. Teaching certification or relevant experience. Responsibilities: 1. Library Management: Organize, catalog, and maintain books, periodicals, and digital resources. Develop and implement library policies and procedures. Maintain an accurate inventory of library resources. Ensure the library is a welcoming and engaging space for students and staff. 2. Promoting Reading & Literacy: Organize reading programs, book clubs, and literary events. Encourage students to develop a habit of reading through engaging activities. Recommend age-appropriate and curriculum-based reading materials. 3. Record Keeping & Administration: Maintain borrowing records and track overdue books. Prepare reports on library usage, book circulation, and resource needs. Manage the library budget and recommend book purchases. 4. Supporting Students & Teachers: Assist students in finding books and other materials suitable for their reading level and academic needs. Guide students on how to use reference materials and digital resources. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum. 5. Library Technology & Digital Resources: Maintain and update digital library databases. Assist students and teachers in using e-books and online research tools. Stay updated with emerging educational technologies relevant to library services. 6. Supervision & Discipline: Ensure that students follow library rules and maintain a quiet, conducive learning environment. Supervise library assistants or student volunteer Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Library Science (B.Lib./M.Lib.) or a related field. Previous experience in school libraries is preferred. Familiarity with library management systems and digital learning resources. Strong communication and organizational skills to interact with students, teachers, and staff. Enthusiasm for fostering a reading culture among students.
