Job Description

A Special Educator is responsible for supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, and neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. The educator develops individualized educational plans (IEPs), employs specialized teaching strategies, and collaborates with parents, therapists, and school staff to enhance student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment & Planning:
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and learning styles.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on assessment results.
  • Set measurable learning goals and track progress regularly.
  • Instruction & Intervention:
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit diverse learning needs.
  • Utilize multi-sensory and evidence-based instructional techniques.
  • Provide remedial support in subjects like reading, writing, and math.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to improve engagement and focus.
  • Classroom & Inclusion Support:
  • Support students in both special education and inclusive classroom settings.
  • Work with general education teachers to modify curriculum and instruction.
  • Foster a supportive and structured learning environment.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Partner with parents, therapists, and school staff to ensure holistic development.
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and case conferences.
  • Provide training and guidance to teachers and caregivers on special education strategies.
  • Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Maintain records of student progress, challenges, and interventions.
  • Prepare reports and communicate findings to parents and school authorities.
  • Adjust teaching approaches based on ongoing observations and data analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Special education training/certifications (e.g., RCI, BCSE, SEN training, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of learning disabilities and intervention techniques.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to develop creative and individualized teaching strategies.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and special education tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Morning shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Performance bonus
