Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust automation libraries and frameworks to support automated testing efforts.
• Build, execute, and enhance automation test suites to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Ensure platform health by implementing necessary checks, balances, and monitoring mechanisms throughout the software lifecycle.
• Lead and drive meetings, new initiatives, and innovation to continuously improve testing strategies and practices.
• Participate actively in day-to-day QA activities, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams--developers, product managers, and designers--to deliver high-quality software releases.
• Advocate for technical excellence and innovation, promoting best practices in test automation and software development.
• Identify and implement improvements in software development and testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Formulate comprehensive test strategies by breaking down business and technical requirements into detailed test cases and scenarios.
• Manage test cycle activities, including test data preparation, contingency planning, and risk analysis.
• Test microservices-based platforms, ensuring thorough coverage and reliability of distributed systems.
• Utilize development and testing tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket to streamline CI/CD workflows.
• Apply cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to support testing in cloud-native environments.
• Utilize Unix/Linux commands for environment setup, scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a strong customer focus by understanding user experience and ensuring performance and efficiency in software releases.

Experience Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Java and Selenium for automation testing.
• Experience testing SaaS products with a solid understanding of system architecture and design principles.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL and MongoDB is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design to develop effective test automation solutions.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools like JIRA or equivalents.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute test strategies, including test case decomposition and contingency planning.
• Hands-on experience testing microservices and distributed platforms.
• Proficient with CI/CD and version control tools like Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization concepts.
• Comfortable using Unix/Linux commands for automation scripting and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent production releases.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Experience driving innovation and improvements in testing processes and automation frameworks.
• ISTQB certification is a strong advantage.
