Social Studies Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable TGT Social Science (SST) Teacher to educate middle school students (Classes 6-8) in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. As the teacher, you will be tasked with delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and provide students with a social and historical perspective on the world around them. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing comprehensive lessons in Social Science subjects in alignment with the curriculum. Utilize various teaching strategies such as discussions, interactive activities, and project-based learning to ensure that Social Science remains engaging and relevant to the students. Encourage critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and analytical skill development among the students. Additionally, you will be fostering an understanding of historical events, geographical phenomena, civic responsibilities, and basic economic principles. Assess the progress of students through tests, assignments, and class participation while offering constructive feedback for their improvement. Integrate technology and multimedia tools into your teaching to enhance the learning experience and create dynamic lessons. Cultivate a positive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and a passion for learning. Collaborate with fellow teachers to encourage interdisciplinary learning and provide a holistic educational journey for the students. Stay updated on current events and incorporate relevant real-world examples into the curriculum. Qualifications and Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Social Science, History, Geography, or related field. - B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification. - Previous experience teaching Social Science subjects to middle school students (Classes 6-10). - Strong understanding of the CBSE/ICSE/State Board Social Science curriculum. - Excellent communication and classroom management skills. - Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to explore the world around them. Preferred Skills: - Experience in experiential learning and integrating social issues into the classroom. - Proficiency in using digital tools to create interactive and engaging lessons. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple subjects.
