Job Description

Role Overview:

We seek a dedicated and experienced Physics educator to join our team at Presidency PU College. The ideal candidate will teach Physics to I and II PUC (11th & 12th grade), prepare students for CET and NEET, and foster a strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning:


    • Design comprehensive lesson plans aligned with Karnataka PU board syllabus.
    • Incorporate conceptual clarity, practical demonstrations, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Instruction & Student Engagement:


    • Teach Physics concepts including Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electricity & Magnetism, Optics, and Modern Physics.
    • Prepare students for internal assessments, board exams, CET, NEET, and other competitive tests.
    • Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Assessment & Feedback:


    • Create and evaluate quizzes, tests, and mock papers.
    • Offer detailed feedback and targeted support to help students improve performance.
    • Monitor academic progress and collaborate with parents and guardians.
  • Laboratory Oversight:


    • Develop and manage Physics lab experiments aligned with curriculum needs.
    • Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain lab equipment.
  • Mentoring & Academic Counseling:


    • Provide mentorship for academic and career planning.
    • Guide students in choosing future educational paths in STEM fields.
  • Professional Development & Collaboration:


    • Participate in regular training sessions and workshops.
    • Collaborate with peers to design interdisciplinary activities and enhance teaching methodologies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:


    • Masters degree (M.Sc.) in Physics or related field.
    • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification is preferred.
  • Experience:


    • Minimum

      3–10 years

      of PU/PUC-level Physics teaching experience, especially in Bengaluru or Karnataka Board context.
    • Proven success in preparing students for PUC exams, CET, NEET is a strong advantage.
  • Core Competencies:


    • Deep understanding of PU-level Physics syllabus and exam patterns.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to simplify complex ideas and enhance students’ confidence.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Familiarity with innovative teaching tools and techniques (digital simulations, interactive learning).
  • Ability to conduct after-class revision sessions and doubt-clearing workshops.
  • Commitment to being part of a high-performing academic community with a growth mindset..
