A Snapshot of Your Day In this role, you will develop, refine, and maintain top-tier technical documentation for Siemens Energy s new engineering projects by engaging with engineers, product managers, and other team members to gather information and seamlessly integrate it into polished content. Your focus will be on ensuring that all technical materials, including user manuals, API documentation, and system operation guides, are clear, concise, and accessible to a broad audience, while staying current with industry standards to keep our documentation competitive. You will review and edit content created by other team members for accuracy and consistency, collaborate with the development team to effectively present complex information, and conduct usability tests to gather feedback for continuous improvement. Additionally, you will mentor junior technical writers to help them develop their skills and uphold Siemens Energy s high standards, while maintaining a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation templates. How You ll Make an Impact Experience in renewable energy or sustainability-focused industries. Knowledge of API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and documentation workflows. Proven track record of mentoring or leading a team of writers. Basic understanding of programming languages like Python, C#, or Java. Experience with crafting multimedia content, such as video tutorials and infographics. What You Bring Bachelor s or Masters degree or equivalent experience in Technical Communication, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Demonstrated track record as a technical writer in an engineering or technology-focused setting. Outstanding writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts. Proficiency with documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar. Familiarity with markup languages like XML, Markdown, or HTML. Experience with version control systems, especially Git. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
