The role of a Senior Vmware Vsphere Admin at Wipro Limited involves providing solutions to bridge the gap between technology and business know-how in order to deliver client solutions. The responsibilities include managing multiple virtualized infrastructures, implementing and maintaining various VMware tools, guiding and assisting the team in upgrading VMware infrastructure, leading and mitigating complex server issues, preparing RCA, reviewing and implementing fixes/patches, performance and capacity management on VMWare, ensuring industry best practices are followed, preparing Golden Image templates periodically, planning and building virtualization infrastructure, managing day-to-day housekeeping tasks, setting up VMware High Availability (HA) clusters, configuring virtual switches, network connections, port groups, storage, Virtual Center installation and upgrades, scripting ESX Server deployments, security mitigation, and implementing best practices in a VMware Virtualized Environment. Skills Required: - Strong exposure to VMware Server, Virtualization Server, vSphere - Understanding of Operating Systems (Windows, Linux), Storage Technology, Network Technology - VMware Certification VCP preferred Minimum 6+ years of experience in VMware vSphere Support and hands-on experience is required.
