Senior Software Engineer

As an experienced WordPress Developer at Avya Technology, you will be responsible for creating plugins/widgets that comply with WordPress coding standards using HOOKS concepts. Your role will involve building custom WordPress plugins, customizing third-party plugins like WooCommerce and Event plugins, and having a deep understanding of E-Commerce architecture and systems. You will work with open-source CMS and frameworks like WordPress, ensuring optimization of software and databases for performance and functionality. Proficiency in code versioning tools such as Git/SVN is essential for this role. Your skills and abilities should include a strong background in PHP, working with WordPress at a PHP code level, expertise in customizing themes and plugins, and proficiency in MySQL databases including design, SQL queries, and query optimization. Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs and formats like JSON and XML is required. Experience with Bitbucket is preferred, and familiarity with React.js and Node.js would be a plus. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for effective collaboration within the team.
