Senior Service Engineer EV Tipper Trucks

Key Responsibilities:

• Field Service & Customer Support:

• Provide on-site service support for EV tipper trucks at customer sites in and around Chitradurga.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EV systems such as batteries, motors, controllers, BMS, wiring harnesses, and hydraulic systems.
  

• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance:

• Conduct scheduled maintenance, health checks, and emergency breakdown support.
  
• Ensure minimal downtime and high uptime for deployed vehicles through proactive servicing.
  

• Technical Reporting & Feedback:

• Document service reports, fault diagnostics, and part replacement logs accurately.
  
• Capture recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering/NPD team for design or software improvements.
  

• Spare Parts & Inventory Coordination:

• Coordinate with the central spares team for timely availability of critical parts.
  
• Maintain adequate stock of fast-moving spares at the service base.
  

• Customer Interaction & Training:

• Act as the first point of contact for customer service-related concerns.
  
• Provide basic training to operators and fleet supervisors on the operation and daily maintenance of EV trucks.
  

• Warranty & AMC Support:

• Handle warranty claims and service processes as per company guidelines.
  
• Support execution of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) with key customers.
  

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. in Automobile / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
  
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in service and maintenance of EVs or heavy commercial vehicles.
  
• Good understanding of EV components – batteries, motors, inverters, BMS, and HV safety.
  
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  
• Willingness to travel locally across customer locations.
  
• Knowledge of service documentation and basic ERP systems preferred.
  
• Kannada speaking preferred (for local communication).
  

Preferred Background:

• Experience in EV trucks, buses, or off-highway commercial vehicles.
  
• Familiarity with telematics and remote diagnostics will be an added advantage.
