Job Description

Position/Designation : Senior RMLE Leader Band : 1C Reports To : RMLE Manager Big Bet : Shared Services/FG-8/RMLE Location :Patna Travel : Ability to travel extensively (up to 30%) to project sites from base location Job Summary Senior RMLE Leader, in coordination with the rest of the RMLE team, will be responsible for data analysis, data management and periodically providing updated data tables from the data collected by RMLE team/by program team/ any other departments/partners as well as system data and communicate appropriately to different stakeholders. S/he will also focus on all RMLE data analysis and interpretation within the pursuit of the University of Manitoba funded Program Monitoring & Learning Project. Roles And Responsibilities Understand and perform basic and advanced analysis using all available data sources for knowledge generation that will guide the program implementation. Database management. Conducting different types of random sampling from line lists. Quantitative and Qualitative data analysis from cleaning to preparation of result tables. Data Cleaning: Managing loss of information, data mapping, removing duplicate entries, coding of open-ended responses, merging of data sets etc. Preparing data analysis plan / tabulation plan. Analysis of data to produce frequencies of different indicators, descriptive, cross-tabulation, simple correlations etc. using SAS/SPSS/STATA/excel as per program requirement. Writing syntaxes for concurrent data analysis. Qualitative data management and analysis. Collating and analysing secondary data from required sources. Prepare appropriate dissemination including scientific manuscripts documents for sharing with internal and external stakeholders. Capacity building of program team and Government counterparts on understanding of data and data driven management. To perform other ad-hoc tasks as per the need of different stakeholders such as the Government and the donor. Travel within or beyond the program areas for 10-30% of the time. Key Relationships : RMLE Team, CoEs, Program operations, Partners & Donors Qualification & Experience : Essential: Graduate/Post Graduate/ Masters in Public Health/Management/Data Science/Social Sciences/Rural Development/Biostatistics/Statistics Development Studies/Educations or any equivalent subject. Preferred: Familiarity with data analysis software. Experience with field research. Experience of scientific writing. Communication skills: Able to articulate and communicate well to stakeholders (verbally and in writing) in a manner that meets the different needs of audiences. Research & Analytical skills: Demonstrated ability to organize, interpret and analyze varieties of data. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret published research literature. Demonstrated ability to objectively analyze data and describe patterns. Demonstrated capacity of developing knowledge products. Demonstrated numerical data visualization skills. Ability to design data collection tools and gather primary data using quantitative and qualitative techniques. Team/people Management & Collaboration skills : Team player, multitasker, skills to convey technical information into intuitive narratives, ability to mentor team members.
