Senior DevOps Engineer (with Site Reliability Engineering Experience)

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) expertise to join our Cloud Engineering/DevOps team. This role is critical to ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure, software delivery pipelines, and business-critical systemsespecially in a high-compliance environment like financial services.
Youll lead the design and implementation of scalable, automated solutions across AWS-based environments, helping teams ship software faster and more reliably, while championing infrastructure as code, observability, and incident response.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a primary owner for system health, security, performance, and capacity of business systems.Develop automation tools and monitoring solutions to support scalable and observable systems.Define and update SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets aligned with service goals.Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues, driving continuous improvement.Collaborate with software engineers to embed operability, resilience, and scalability into app architecture.Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure using tools like:Terraform, Helm, KustomizeAWS CDK with TypeScript for SaaS infrastructureImplement and manage deployment pipelines and CI/CD best practices.Support cloud security initiatives using tools such as AWS Inspector, Detective, or Lacework.Required Skills & Experience:68+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure design.Deep experience with UNIX/Linux system administration in enterprise environments.Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.Proven track record in monitoring & alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language:Python, Node.js, Java, Bash, or ShellSolid experience with Kubernetes orchestration, Helm chart development, and GitOps.Familiarity with Terraform, AWS CDK, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments is a plus.Nice to Have:Experience in high-compliance industries like FinTech or Banking.Familiarity with AWS security tools (Inspector, Detective, GuardDuty, etc.).Exposure to observability stacks (ELK, Loki, Datadog, or similar).
