SCM Chief Officer

Key Responsibilities:✅ Procurement & Sourcing

• Develop sourcing strategies for seasonal and non-seasonal fruits & vegetables from farms, mandis, and suppliers.
• Build a reliable vendor network, including farmer-producer organizations (FPOs) and aggregators.
• Ensure procurement planning based on demand forecasts, pricing trends, and quality standards.

✅ Logistics & Transportation

• Plan and manage transportation from farms to warehouses and to retail/distribution points.
• Optimize routing and delivery schedules to minimize spoilage and cost.
• Coordinate with 3PL (Third Party Logistics) service providers.

✅ Inventory & Warehousing

• Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stock-outs.
• Oversee cold storage and warehouse operations, ensuring proper handling and storage of perishable goods.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO practices.

✅ Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand accurately.
• Align procurement and logistics with demand trends and seasonality.

✅ Quality & Compliance

• Ensure quality checks at each point in the supply chain.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, FSSAI, and regulatory norms.
• Reduce wastage and spoilage through timely handling.

✅ Process Improvement & Technology

• Implement ERP or SCM tools to streamline operations.
• Monitor key metrics: lead time, inventory turnover, wastage %, delivery accuracy, etc.
• Drive cost reduction and operational efficiency.

✅ Team Management

• Lead and mentor SCM team members across sourcing, logistics, and warehouse functions.
• Coordinate with production, finance, and sales departments.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of agri supply chains, perishables handling
• Vendor development and negotiation skills
• Inventory and logistics optimization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
