Job Title: Science Teacher Location: Om Central Public School , Belgaum (Rural), Karnataka Affiliation: CBSE Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Reports To: Vice Principal/Head of Department Accommodation: On-site accommodation available School Type: Day School Position Overview: We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our CBSE-affiliated school located in rural Belgaum. The ideal candidate will hold an MSc in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) along with a B.Ed. , and possess 3 to 4 years of experience in teaching Science at the middle or secondary school level. Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Curriculum Delivery: · Teach Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) to students from Grades VI to X as per the CBSE curriculum. · Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons using modern pedagogical techniques and digital tools. · Conduct hands-on experiments and demonstrations to enhance conceptual understanding. · Encourage scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and real-world application of concepts. Student Assessment and Support: · Prepare assessments, tests, lab reports, and assignments aligned with CBSE guidelines. · Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly and maintain detailed academic records. · Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support to students as needed. · Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Classroom and Lab Management: · Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during classroom and lab activities. · Manage and organize science laboratory equipment and ensure lab safety procedures are followed. · Supervise student projects and guide them in science exhibitions and competitions. Collaboration and School Activities: · Work collaboratively with colleagues for cross-curricular activities and school events. · Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and curriculum development workshops. · Contribute to science clubs, environmental programs, and other co-curricular initiatives. Qualifications: · Education: o M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or General Science. o B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution. · Experience: o 3 to 4 years of teaching experience in a CBSE or equivalent curriculum school. · Skills and Competencies: o Strong subject knowledge across scientific disciplines. o Ability to use digital tools and smart classroom resources. o Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
