Role Overview

SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Develop ABAP Solutions:

  Design, develop, and implement robust ABAP programs, enhancements, interfaces, and reports.

• Leverage BTP & RAP:

  Utilize SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and the Restful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) for modern application development.

• Enhance Functionality:

  Create custom solutions (e.g., Fiori apps, OData services) to extend standard SAP functionalities.

• Integrate Systems:

  Develop interfaces and integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using various technologies.

• Troubleshoot & Optimize:

  Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and optimize ABAP code for performance.

• Collaborate on Design:

  Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Documentation & Testing:

  Prepare technical documentation and support various testing phases (unit, integration, UAT).

• Stay Current:

  Continuously learn and apply new SAP technologies, especially within the ABAP, BTP, and S/4HANA ecosystems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant.
• Proven experience with

  SAP ABAP development in S/4HANA environments

  .
• Demonstrable experience with

  SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

  .
• Practical experience in developing applications using

  Restful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)

  .
• Strong understanding of OData services, CDS Views, and Fiori development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with integrations like APIs, SOAP, REST, and IDoc/EDI.
• Knowledge of various SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant SAP certifications in ABAP or S/4HANA development are a plus.
