Engineering Design & Simulation (EDS):-

Designation: Project Specific Research Engineer Physical Crash Testing

Location: MRC Takwe, Pune

Work Experience: 1– 4 Years

The candidate should be Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering from reputed University with First Class

Work Experience Around 1 – 4 years of experience in automotive industry (work experience in auto workshops, car assembly lines, etc. preferred).

Description of Duties:

1. Responsible for preparation of test setup, conduct of test and report preparation for testing of different vehicle security / highway safety barriers
2. Responsible for data acquisition using various sensors and videography / photography using high speed cameras
3. Responsible for usage and upkeep of electrical systems viz. motor, drive panel, breaking resistor panel, transformer, etc.
4. Responsible for maintenance and calibration (wherever required) of instrumentation viz. data acquisition system (DAS), accelerometers, gyro sensors, high speed cameras, weighing pads, etc.
5. Support the Assistant Manager / Manager in day to day work activities
6. Planning, scheduling and executing pre-test, test and post-test activities in shifts as required

Required Skills:

• Should have good communication skills to deal with customers for testing related discussions
• Should have basic awareness of quality systems
• Should have knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of programming languages will be an added advantage
• Should have know-how of various sensors and their working principles

Other Requirements:

1. Working in shifts, if required
2. Good track record, if already employed
3. Travel to other ARAI facilities for support, on need basis
