Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Identifying and evaluating suppliers:
This involves researching potential vendors, assessing their capabilities (quality, pricing, delivery times), and building a network of reliable suppliers.
Negotiating contracts and pricing:
Securing favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize costs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Maintaining supplier relationships:
Fostering strong relationships with existing vendors and developing new ones.
Conducting market research:
Staying informed about market trends, new products, and changes in regulations related to procurement.

2. Procurement Process Management:

Managing the procurement process:
Overseeing the entire procurement cycle, from identifying needs to contract management.
Preparing and processing purchase orders:
Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all purchasing activities.
Tracking orders and deliveries:
Monitoring the status of orders and coordinating with logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Managing inventory and stock levels:
Optimizing inventory levels to minimize costs and prevent stockouts.

3. Cost and Quality Control:

Ensuring cost-effectiveness:
Sourcing goods and services at the best possible price while maintaining quality standards.
Maintaining quality standards:
Ensuring that purchased materials meet the company's quality requirements.
Conducting quality checks:
Evaluating the quality of purchased products and resolving any issues with suppliers.
