Job Description

A Purchase Executive responsible for managing and coordinating all procurement activities to ensure an efficient and cost-effective supply chain. This includes sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate records. They also play a crucial role in inventory management, cost control, and ensuring quality standards are met.
1. Sourcing and Supplier Management:

  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with vendors.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and managing their performance.

2. Procurement Operations:

  • Creating and processing purchase orders.
  • Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and optimizing stock levels.
  • Managing inventory and ensuring adequate stock availability.
  • Coordinating with various departments to understand their procurement needs.
  • Resolving any procurement-related issues or disputes.

3. Cost Control and Optimization:

  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Monitoring and analyzing market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.

4. Quality Assurance:

  • Ensuring the quality of purchased products and materials.
  • Reviewing the quality of purchased products.
  • Working with quality control teams to address any quality issues.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Preparing reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Analyzing market trends and pricing to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

In essence, the Purchase Executive is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient procurement process, from identifying needs to receiving and managing the purchased goods. They play a vital role in cost management, supplier relationships, and maintaining the overall supply chain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
