Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer - Design

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: Ensures application of customer specifications, industry, national, and international standards. Study project specifications, project scope of supply and technical compliance along with project offer. Understand the specifications developed by Design engineer for respective components / equipment. Review quotes & drawings received from Outsource vendors/suppliers. Preparation of Project Drawings as per list generated by design/project team in line with agreed VDRL (vendor document register list) with customer such as Enclosure GA, Plot layout, Piping and Instrumentation drawings, Fuel tank and other equipment GA. All these drawings shall be prepared in alignment with Project Specification & also technical specifications & design calculations prepared for respective equipment/component by design engineer. Prepare checklist for respective drawings and Checks drawings and technical specifications prior to release. Engages with required functional areas, external vendors and customer engineering teams as needed. Coordinate with Project Engineers & outsource vendor drawings for any applicable changes as per customer comments. Review and update the respective drawings & prepare CRS (Customer Resolution sheet) for respective commented document. Participates in and/or leads Drawing Quality Reviews. Skills and Experience Required: Requires significant relevant 1.55 years work experience on AutoCAD. Oil & Gas industry on mechanical systems and projects engineering experience will be preferred. Experience in genset installation. College, university, or equivalent diploma or bachelors degree in engineering or appropriate STEM field is required. Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles. Should be able to draft system, subsystem and component of engine/genset models. Balance of plants. Able to work on concept layout along with preliminary design feasibility. Should be able to understand GD&T, tolerance for assemblies. Should be able to understand PLM (Windchill) and data management systems. Creating manufacturing level fabrication drawings for genset enclosures, skids and accessories would be added advantage. Should be proficient in AutoCAD. Should be proficient in handling different file types within above mentioned softwares. Lifecycle stages by considering the customer requirements in different operating environments to ensure a robust system
