Production Supervisor

A Production Supervisor plays a critical role in manufacturing and production environments, overseeing the daily operations of production lines to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. They are essentially the link between management and the production floor, responsible for both people management and process optimization.

Core Responsibilities:

* Overseeing Production Processes: Monitoring production lines, equipment, and workflows to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This includes making adjustments as necessary to maintain the flow.

* Supervising, monitoring, and coaching production employees.

* Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and implementing corrective actions.

* Fostering a positive work environment and motivating the team to achieve targets.

* Quality Control: Implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements. This involves regular inspections and checks, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.

* Safety and Compliance: Enforcing strict adherence to safety guidelines, company standards, and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, GMP). This includes conducting regular safety audits and providing necessary training.

* Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the safe use of equipment, scheduling regular maintenance, and troubleshooting issues with machinery to minimize downtime.

* Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies in production processes and suggesting or implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity. This might involve applying principles like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

* Reporting and Analysis: Compiling production records, preparing reports on performance and progress, and presenting them to senior management. This involves analyzing data to identify trends and make informed decisions.

* Resource Management: Managing inventory levels of raw materials and components, coordinating with other departments (like supply chain and logistics) to ensure material availability.

* Problem-Solving: Proactively identifying and troubleshooting production issues, whether related to machinery, materials, or personnel, and implementing effective solutions.

Pay: ₹10,704.03 - ₹22,611.52 per month
