Job Description

Role Summary: The Primary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, concept-based mathematics instruction to students from Grades 1 to 5, fostering a love for numbers, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The teacher must be adept at simplifying mathematical concepts and using activity-based teaching methodologies aligned with CBSE curriculum standards. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver mathematics lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum for primary classes. Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and mathematical thinking. Use teaching aids, manipulatives, technology, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts concrete and accessible. Regularly assess students’ understanding through oral questioning, worksheets, quizzes, and classwork. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback. Prepare students for school assessments and competitions like Olympiads or Math quizzes. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and areas of improvement. Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, training sessions, and co-curricular activities. Identify learning gaps and provide individual support/remediation where necessary. Promote a growth mindset and instill confidence in students to approach math without fear.
