BI Job Description Role Summary We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) professional with a strong background in dashboarding, data modeling, and analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing enterprise-grade BI solutions using tools like Power BI, Advanced Excel, and SQL, while also contributing to client interaction, data automation, and ETL activities. This role requires a 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern BI tools, and specifically Power BI , data warehousing concepts, and a keen eye for transforming business requirements into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and build for dashboards, reports, KPIs, and alerts. • Create complex SQL queries, stored procedures and user-defined functions for data extraction and transformation. • Conduct UAT and validate data for key campaigns, reporting cycles, and business processes. • Work with MS SQL Server to manage datasets and resolve Power BI-related issues. • Perform data integration and ETL using SSIS, SQL, or similar tools. • Automate manual report generation, scheduling, and distribution. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insights. • Manage and secure data using best practices in data modeling, data security, and data governance. • Conduct training and onboarding sessions for teams on Power BI and data best practices. Must-Have Skills • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Query and Power BI Gateway, Power BI APIs, and Advanced Excel. • Excellent skills in Power BI Data Modelling, developing Power BI Templates, Power BI Tabular Reporting • Knowledge of data visualization best practices, including chart types, interactivity, and performance optimization. • Excellent SQL programming skills (MS-SQL) for querying, stored procedures, and data transformation. • Experience in working with cloud platforms Azure (Power BI Service, Data Factory) and AWS. • Experience handling report automation, dashboard migration, and performance tuning. • Good understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schema), OLAP, and ETL frameworks. • Strong communication skills ability to interact with clients and internal teams confidently. Preferred Skills • Certification in Power BI is an added advantage.
