Job Description

preparing project budgets, tracking progress, creating work schedules, raising client and subcontractor bills, and ensuring cost control measures

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning & Scheduling:

  • Prepare

    project schedules (using MS Project or Primavera)

    and update timelines.
  • Monitor project progress against timelines and provide

    variance analysis

    .
  • Coordinate with execution teams for

    resource planning

    , material requirements, and work sequencing.
  • Prepare

    weekly/monthly project progress reports

    and dashboards.

2. Billing & Costing:

  • Prepare and submit

    client bills

    (RA Bills, Final Bills, etc.) as per contract terms.
  • Verification and processing of

    subcontractor/vendor bills

    .
  • Maintain and update

    measurement books

    and work orders.
  • Track

    bill certification status

    , collection, and receivables.
  • Ensure compliance with

    taxation, statutory deductions (GST, TDS, etc.)

    in billing.

3. Estimation & Budgeting:

  • Assist in preparing

    project budgets and cost estimates

    .
  • Maintain

    cost control systems

    and track project expenses vs budget.
  • Identify cost overruns and suggest corrective actions.

4. Documentation & Coordination:

  • Maintain complete billing documentation for audits and verification.
  • Coordinate with clients, site teams, finance, and procurement departments.
  • Support tendering, contract management, and BOQ preparation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of

    construction billing norms, estimation, and planning tools

    .
  • Proficiency in

    AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera, ERP tools

    .
  • Good understanding of

    taxation (GST, TDS) and statutory compliance

    .
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • PG in Construction Management (preferred for Planning roles).
  • 2-10 years of experience depending on role level.

KPIs / Performance Metrics:

  • Accuracy and timeliness of billing.
  • Project cost adherence vs budget.
  • Client collection cycle time.
  • Project milestone tracking efficiency.
  • Subcontractor/vendor bill processing timelines.
