OPD Nurse – 2 Nos.

Job Description

· OPD nurses conduct initial assessments, gather patient histories, and monitor vital signs to determine patient needs and develop individualized care plans.

· They are responsible for administering medications, ensuring proper dosage and adherence to treatment plans, and monitoring for any adverse reactions.

· OPD nurses provide wound care, including cleaning, dressing changes, and assessing wound healing progress.

· They educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, medication management, and preventive healthcare measures to promote well-being and self-care.

· Accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress is crucial for effective communication and continuity of care.

· OPD nurses facilitate communication between patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

· They may assist physicians with minor surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and other treatments.

· OPD nurses ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff, including proper handling of equipment and supplies.

· They may be involved in appointment scheduling, patient registration, and other administrative duties to support the smooth functioning of the clinic.

· OPD nurses monitor patients' progress, document any changes in their condition, and provide follow-up care as needed.

· They are trained to recognize and respond to emergency situations, providing immediate care and initiating appropriate interventions.
