We are seeking an experienced MySQL database administrator to ensure high performance, availability, and security of MySQL instances, as well as proficiency in other NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Elasticsearch. You will be responsible for various maintenance tasks such as upgrades, fixes, backups, and database instance provisioning, with complete ownership of all utilized databases. Responsibilities: - Installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrading, and maintenance of databases in both production and non-production environments. - Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. - 24/7 support for failover in a High Availability Disaster Recovery environment using MySQL native Replication. - Management of database maintenance activities, including profiling server resource usage, optimization, and troubleshooting at all levels. - Addressing database issues such as data corruption, restoration, backup, offline database recovery, and statement-level analysis. - Ensuring performance, security, and availability of databases. - Documentation preparation to enforce organizational guidelines for developers. - Execution of common database procedures like upgrades, backups, recoveries, migrations, etc. - Collaboration with team members and stakeholders to drive critical updates related to database failover. - Identification and resolution of database issues, including slow queries and database structure changes. Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of DBA experience in MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies. - Profound knowledge in MySQL database management, relational schema definitions, integrity constraints, replication clusters, and log management for rapid issue identification. - Strong understanding of MySQL database fundamentals and query optimization, including query plan analysis, full table scan optimizations, query worker analysis, query caching, complex SQL queries with multiple joins, views, and stored procedures. - Solid grasp of NoSQL databases for concurrency and lock performance monitoring, WiredTiger for MongoDB, GlobalLocks, and Locks. - Experience in performance tuning, such as clustered and non-clustered indexing, sharding, partitioning concepts, versioned data rows, and periodic data archival from transactional tables. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.,
