MIG WELDER

Job Title: MIG Welder

Department: Fabrication / Production
Reports To: Welding Supervisor / Production Manager
Location: Karumathampatti, Coimbatore

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding metal components using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques, ensuring high-quality joints and structural integrity in line with engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding process specifications
• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to join metal parts in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead)
• Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, and positioning workpieces
• Select appropriate welding wire, shielding gas, and machine settings based on material type and thickness
• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and conformance to specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or welding certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in MIG welding, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
• Proficient in using welding tools, grinders, clamps, and measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work from technical drawings
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with structural steel or stainless steel welding
• Familiarity with other welding techniques (TIG, ARC) is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
