Job Description

Qualification Required:

MD (Internal Medicine) + DM / DNB in Medical Oncology
Valid registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council

Skills Required:

Expertise in diagnosis and medical management of cancer patients
Skilled in chemotherapy protocols, immunotherapy, targeted therapy
Strong clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary coordination
Good communication skills for patient counseling and education
Familiarity with EMR systems and hospital documentation
Knowledge of current guidelines (NCCN, ESMO, ASCO) and NABH standards

Experience Requirement:

Minimum
35 years
post-DM/DNB in medical oncology (preferred)
Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including ICU coordination

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide
comprehensive medical care
for cancer patients, including diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning
Administer and monitor
chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy
protocols
Collaborate with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, palliative care, and diagnostics for
multidisciplinary tumor boards
Manage treatment-related complications and coordinate with ICU/emergency teams if required
Guide and supervise junior doctors, nursing staff, and chemotherapy day care teams
Educate patients and families regarding disease, treatment options, side effects, and prognosis
Maintain accurate and timely
clinical documentation, treatment summaries, and discharge plans
Participate in clinical audits, NABH compliance, and academic programs such as CMEs and tumor boards
Support
cancer screening, awareness
, and early detection programs organized by the hospital
Contribute to clinical research, if applicable, and maintain ethical practices
