Role Overview:-

Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Mechanical Design & Drafting

• Create detailed

  3D models and 2D drawings

  for robotic fixtures, machine components, and other mechanical systems.
• Apply

  GD&T

  principles to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality.

2. FEA & Design Validation

• Conduct

  Finite Element Analysis

  (stress, thermal, or motion analysis) on critical components.
• Incorporate FEA findings into design improvements for enhanced product durability and efficiency.

3. Design for Manufacturability

• Develop designs that consider

  cost-effective production methods

  and efficient assembly processes.
• Collaborate with fabricators and vendors to validate part feasibility and optimize manufacturing workflows.

4. Bill of Materials & Cost Analysis

• Prepare

  BOM

  (Bill of Materials) and analyze cost implications of various design options.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials while maintaining budget constraints.

5. Assembly & Integration

• Oversee and participate in

  sub-assemblies and final assemblies

  .
• Coordinate closely with robotics, AI, and software teams to integrate mechanical solutions into broader automation systems.

6. Project Coordination

• Track project milestones, ensure on-time delivery, and proactively resolve design or production challenges.
• Document design iterations, assembly instructions, and test procedures for future reference and compliance.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Participate in

  design reviews

  to refine and improve mechanical components.
• Keep up-to-date with

  emerging manufacturing technologies

  and best practices to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:-

• Education

  : Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• CAD Expertise

  : Proficient in 3D modeling and drafting (

  e.g., SolidWorks

  ).

• GD&T Knowledge

  : Strong understanding of

  Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

  and practical application in production drawings.

• FEA Experience

  : Familiarity with conducting

  Finite Element Analysis

  (SolidWorks Simulation, Ansys, or similar) to validate designs (preferred).

• Manufacturing Processes

  : Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and assembly methods.

• Communication

  : Excellent verbal and written skills; adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Problem-Solving

  : Resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of managing design changes effectively.

• Bonus

  : Experience with robotic automation, fixture design, or machine integration.
