Role & responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting D365 Finance solutions for diverse business requirements. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their financial processes and translate them into effective D365 Finance configurations. Key Responsibilities Implementation & Configuration Lead functional analysis and design for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementations Configure core Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, and Budgeting Design and implement financial reporting solutions using Financial Reporting, Management Reporter, and Power BI Configure financial dimensions, chart of accounts, and organizational hierarchies Set up tax configurations, payment methods, and banking interfaces Client Engagement & Requirements Analysis Conduct detailed business requirement gathering sessions with clients Analyze current state financial processes and recommend best practices Create functional specifications and solution design documents Facilitate workshops and training sessions for end users Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for D365 Finance issues Integration & Data Management Design and implement integrations between D365 Finance and third-party systems Support data migration activities from legacy systems to D365 Finance Configure and test interfaces for banks, payment gateways, and external reporting systems Ensure data integrity and accuracy across integrated systems Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Strong understanding of financial business processes and accounting principles Experience with D365 Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Budgeting Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Management Reporter Familiarity with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) Understanding of integration tools like Data Management Framework (DMF) Experience with workflow configurations and approval processes Functional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience in client-facing roles with strong stakeholder management skills Understanding of Indian taxation (GST, TDS) and regulatory requirements preferred Greetings from Protiviti Global Business Consulting” Protiviti (www.protiviti.com) is a global consulting firm that delivers deep expertise, objective insights, a tailored approach and unparalleled collaboration to help leaders confidently face the future.
