The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: Overview / Purpose of the Job Primary: This role will plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods by close working with Design Engineering, Production, Material Management and Supply Chain teams Responsibilities and authorities: - Process design and development, New Product Introduction (NPI). - Prepare detailed plan for qualification of New products, (FAI). - Prepare all relevant manufacturing documents for New or Proto qualification products. - Should be able to train and qualify Technicians or Engineers in the line. - Should develop a strong second line for Manufacturing Engineering team. - Prepare , review and implement manufacturing processes and own the documents, and configuration control. - Continuous improvement, through Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other Lean tools. - Preparation of plant layouts, setting up of standard hours and verification. - Designing of various jigs and fixtures required for shop floor. - Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. - Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Printed copies are considered UNCONTROLLED Verify current issue before use - Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. - Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. - Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. - Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturers instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. - Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. - Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 3. Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant Educational Degree B. E/ B. Tech (Mechanical) Professional Experience 5-7 years\ experience in Mechanical engineering preferably from Mechanical process/ Welding/ Composites Special Qualifications, Work Experience Knowledge & Skills Technical / Functional 1. Manufacturing engineering/Process Engineering / IndustrialEngineering 2. Auto CAD, jigs fixture designing Layouts 3. Understand cross functional requirements 4. Knowledge in composites, welding/brazing, painting
