About the Role:

Manual QA Engineer

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to test end-to-end workflows, detect critical issues, and validate systems handling financial transactions, credit data, KYC flows, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute detailed test cases

  for new features, enhancements, and critical financial workflows (loan processing, invoice validation, KYC/AML, payouts, etc.).

• Perform thorough regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing

  across web and mobile applications.

• Validate compliance-sensitive flows

  , ensuring no confidential or personally identifiable data is leaked in logs or error messages.

• Test backend flows

  by validating database entries (via SQL queries) and verifying data correctness across microservices.

• Perform API-level validation

  using tools like Postman to ensure accurate data exchange between systems.
• Identify, log, and track defects in tools like

  Jira

  , working closely with developers to verify fixes and retest resolved issues.
• Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and QA strategy discussions to ensure early involvement in feature testing.
• Provide clear and concise feedback on user experience, edge cases, and business logic gaps.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing

  , preferably in

  Fintech

  , banking, insurance, or transactional platforms.
• Strong understanding of

  test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle management

  .
• Experience with

  Agile/Scrum

  methodologies and collaborative QA processes.
• Working knowledge of

  API testing tools

  (e.g., Postman, Swagger) and

  SQL

  for database validation.
• Strong awareness of

  data security, compliance (e.g., CIBIL, PCI-DSS, RBI guidelines)

• High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a passion for delivering bug-free, user-ready software.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and document issues clearly.
